The Pashinyan-Aliyev debate on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue took place at the Munich Security Conference. The impression is contradictory, and in this case we are talking about Nikol Pashinyan. In Aliyev’s case, everything is clear and understandable: he only raises the question of territorial integrity, “justifying” it with obvious historical-political and legal lies. This is actually a consequence of a lack of arguments, which cannot be said about the Armenian side.

In this regard, Nikol Pashinyan did not take full advantage of this circumstance. The language problem may have played a role, especially when the arguments need to be made clear and understandable to everyone.

Azerbaijan is an artificial state, a Russian-Turkish birth also on Armenian blood and territories, which is still in search of identity, who have not yet decided who they are in that country, there are regular discussions and disputes. Nikol Pashinyan answered Aliyev’s historical “arguments” clearly, referring to the times of Tigran the Great, as well as the events of the 1920s. Given the names of Stalin, Lenin and Ataturk, it was perhaps worthwhile to speak to the participants in order to clarify this fact in 1915-1923. on the genocide and Russian-Turkish treaties, the direct consequence of which is the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The war, at least twice started by Baku, the status quo is the result of a war, that is, a reality that must be recognized. Artsakh has never been within Azerbaijan and never will be.

It is also worth referring to the documentary basis for the launch of the so-called settlement process, especially underlining the fact that the thesis of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity has not been enshrined in international documents, despite Baku’s huge efforts, including financial ones.

In general, the modern world recognizes the realities and, in this case, the ability to sustain the outcome of war. And maybe it’s no longer worth taking part in the reality-show discussions on the Artsakh issue, according to Armen Ashotyan.
