SPEECH BY PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF WESTERN ARMENIA TIGRAN PASHABEZYAN
Good afternoon dear friends
On me it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister of Western Armenia.
I am glad that our parliamentarians are here with me.
I am glad that we can help by our presence and our proposals to find ways to defend these new challenges and threats.
I will now present our proposal.
Since the modern borders of the countries of the Middle East are outlined in accordance with the Sevres Treaty and new realities have been discussed here so as not to be repeated, I think that we, both Russia and Armenia, need to prepare for a new Sevr-2 treaty. If we do not prepare for such a new treaty, then everything will remain the same for us, as it is now. And if we are to prepare ourselves, we must adopt the Decree “On Turkish Armenia” of the Russian Government of 1918, Woodrow Wilson’s Arbitral Award “On the Border of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey,” and, of course, the Treaty of Sevres. Here is our offer.
We are glad that we are participating in this conference, we wish all the best.
I think that, in the end, we will be ready to commit ourselves to moving forward along the planned path. Thank you.
