“The Russian-Turkish Treaty of March 16, 1921 recorded the results of the occupation of Armenia as a result of the Turkish-Russian aggression, the dismemberment of its territory and the deprivation of independence. The regional architecture formed as a result of the conclusion of this treaty and signed for the purpose of legitimizing it on October 13, 1921, the Treaty of Kars was intended to exclude the revival of Armenian statehood and subjectivity.
This architecture became the platform on which the system of government was built, allowing to colonize the state-like powerless remnant of the Republic of Armenia – Soviet Armenia and maintain control of the Russian Empire in relation to the broad masses of the Armenian people. In fact, the contract of March 16, 1921 and the Kars Treaty derived from it of October 13, 1921 became the assurance of the final depatriation of the Armenians and the rejection of the Armenian statehood, therefore, the revision of the regional architecture built on their basis should become the starting point for the development of our statehood ”, states in a statement of the party Sasna tsrer in connection with the 98th anniversary of the signing of the Moscow Treaty between Turkey and Russia. You cannot say more precisely, and one can only add that in Armenia and in the diaspora they do not pay enough attention to this treaty on the eve of its 100th anniversary. Only some circles and the media address this issue, which may be the result of external “prohibitions” or a lack of understanding of the problem.
The parties to this treaty continue their policy now, trying to restore the 100-year-old architecture in the region broken by the two Artsakh wars, making claims to the Armenian territories and trying to oust the Armenians from Armenia. Moreover, the main actor is Moscow, which is making a lot of efforts to ensure that the issue of the 1921 treaty is not voiced. For this, the program “Compatriots” is involved, which should inevitably lead to a deterioration of the economic and demographic situation in Armenia. The EAEU and the Russian-Armenian treaties are also holding back the development of Armenia, especially given the degradation and decline in Russia.
For this, the Lazarev Club was created, which is an inseparable part of the plan for the depatriation of Armenians and neo-colonial politics, with the involvement of high-ranking Russian functionaries. Club president, MP Konstantin Zatulin proposes to hand over a new party of Armenian lands to Azerbaijan, work is underway to bring discord between Yerevan and Stepanakert. In this context, it is necessary to recall the statements of Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in Baku, as well as the issues raised by her in this regard in Yerevan at meetings with Ararat Mirzoyan and Catholicos Garegin II. It is truly unprecedented that many political analysts regard as the opening of a “second front” against Armenia within the framework of the 1921 issue.
