The remains of the Holocaust victims in one of the villages of Mush during the days of the Armenian Genocide
01 JULY 2019 – GENOCIDE.
The photographs are skulls and bones of Armenians killed by Turkish soldiers. The photo was taken in the ruins of one of the houses in Akhjan village of Mush region, where hundreds of men, women and children were gathered and burned.
In the years of the Great Torture, Turkish slaughterers resorted to various means to carry out the massacre of Armenians more quickly and efficiently. Often the Turks closed all the doors and windows of the house and threw their victims down from the shed until the house was full, then poured oil on them. Thousands were martyred in this way.
This photo was taken by Frank Danielyan. In 1915-1917 he served in the 4th Armenian American volunteer regiment in the Caucasus and had the opportunity to make photographs in a number of Western Armenian cities. They testify to the horrors of Turks and Kurds against the Armenians.
Some of the photos made by Frank Danielyan were published in the American press. It was first published in Leslie’s Illustrated in 1917. June 28 issue.
“Whoever goes through deserted Armenia can not be fired. there are so many extraordinary things about the ruins and the endless deaths of death … There is no abyss, a gorge that was not in the grave under the open sky, in which the whites did not give the open piles of skeletons, as almost no offensive criminals had time Nor were they burdened with burying their victims. ”
