“tragic irony”, UNESCO and its vocation, UNESCO itself dishonor internationally

The 2019 Congress of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Baku is nearing completion and ends (30 June – 10 July).
In the ancient Greek theater, there is a definition of “tragic irony” that is used when a “secret” or accident involving a play is revealed to the public, but the actors themselves are the only ones to blame.
“Tragic irony” is the decision of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to organize the 2019 Congress in Baku.
In addition to the organizers and participants, it is undeniable that it is immoral to organize an international congress of cultural heritage in a country where the cultural heritage is being destroyed and seen by the world.
However, the problem is not a “tragic irony”, as it is the case as a silent spectator, as well as for the advocacy and patriotism of the Armenian side.
Currently, Azerbaijan provides a large sum of money and is making diplomatic efforts to be civilized and progressive on the international scene. And we, when we come suddenly, can not even resist …
Instead of provoking a diplomatic fever, we remain silent and do not intervene in the fact that the State of Azerbaijan has not approved their security in order to prevent the participation of Armenian delegates in the congress and that UNESCO will also adapt to this situation.
In addition to the protesters’ complaints, the Armenian government remained silent, the parties, religious leaders and our cultural organizations remained silent. And the media did not react to the gravity of the problem and did not demand the custom of the people.
Many Armenian monasteries and monuments will be demolished in Turkey and Azerbaijan. This congress was not an opportunity for advanced advocacy to ensure the presence of our delegates at the congress, and there, in defense of our monuments and the reprimand of the massacre.
I will say: “Not yet late.” As a member of the United States, MK can complain about one of his organs, UNESCO, which did not meet the security of the Armenian delegates, but remained in the decision to make the congress in Baku a tempting temptation.
