YEREVAN, AUGUST 28, ARMENPRESS. Archeological excavations of ancient man-made synthetic paint in Anatolia have revealed archaeological excavations in the area of Ayyanis fortress built near Lake Van by Urartian King Rusa II (ca. 685-645 BC).

According to experts, the excavated wall was painted by Urartians 2,700 years ago.
Earlier this paint was found in Egypt and was named “Egyptian Blue”.
