The National Assembly (Parliament) of Western Armenia welcomes the formation of the Assyrian Parliament – one of the most ancient people of the Greater Middle East, which was held on September 12, 2019 in Yerevan.
It should be noted that the destruction and appropriation of cultural property, the process of persecution, falsification and neglect of the rights of the Assyrians, Greeks, Armenians and other peoples of the Greater Middle East by the authorities of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan continue.
The Republic of Western Armenia (Armenia), as early as April 7, 2015, recognized and condemned the genocide of the Assyrians and Greeks in 1915-1923. implemented by the three successive Turkish governments – Ottoman, Young Turkish and Kemalist.
We are committed to the fact of recognition and condemnation, and declare our full support in protecting the rights of friendly peoples – Assyrians, Greeks and other peoples deprived of their rights, as well as in supporting the elimination of the consequences of genocide and the establishment of justice.
The election of deputies of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Western Armenia from the Assyrian community of David Hinoev and Razmik Khosroev, from the Greek community – Eduard Polatov, and our many years of joint work are the best proof of our friendship and cooperation.
We believe that close and effective cooperation will be established between us in neutralizing the challenges and threats facing our friendly peoples, as well as in realizing our just rights.
