A group of Turkish lawyers threaten Armenians with new deportation
03 December 2019 – GENOCIDE.
A group called the Istanbul Nationalist Bar Association (AGMAG) has issued a statement on the Armenian Genocide, threatening to “resort to deportation again” if necessary.
In a statement issued by nationalist writer Mustafa Zalik, the organization said that “they are in favor of the deportation of 1915 Armenians both yesterday and today.”
In a statement heroizing Enver and Talat Pasha, the chief organizers of the Armenian Genocide, Baha’idin Shakir says that they bow down to the memory of all the Young Turks and kiss their hands.
“From Sarigamish to Dardanelles (battle-ed.), From the deportation of Armenians to the War of Independence (Ataturk’s nationalist struggle-ed.), All their struggles are our honor and the crown of our heads,” the statement read.
Nationalist advocates have stated that they will consider it a cause of war and outright hostility to “call deportation a genocide, no matter who says it.”
“If there is no other way to protect our homeland and our nation, the easiest way to choose will be deportation again, no matter what element will be in front of us,” the statement reads.
