Emergency situation in Yerevan: National Security Service and Police prevent possible terror attack

On November 25, on the basis of operative data, the National Security Service of Armenia, including Alpha anti-terrorist department, the Police Chief Department to Combat Organized Crime, have prevented a serious crime.

According to Shamshyan.com, at the moment, the National Security officers are in the territory of the Nork Marash administrative district in Yerevan (the Street No.9). They have rendered harmless a group of heavily armed men in one of the local private houses. At the moment, the street is blocked. The security forces shored up the control over the street.

According to the photo correspond Shamshyan, the men were armed with advanced weapons and ammunition, explosives and plotted a terror attack in the territory of the city.

“The law-enforcers rendered harmless 10 people, including 3 women, 7 men, mostly foreigners. The officers operated at a professional level, no one was injured during the operation. Deputy Head of the Armenian Police Hunan Poghosyan has arrived on the scene,” the source reports.
