World Churches Union President Viken Aykazyan: Azerbaijanis want to host Armenians in Baku – Armenia Public Radio

Speaking to the correspondent of the ‘News.am’ news portal, East American Armenian Religion Leader and President of the World Churches Union Archbishop Viken Aykazyan: “Azerbaijanis have a lot of problems. And the Azerbaijani rulers can continue their operation on the border with Armenia, in order to distract their people from these issues. ”
Commenting on the threat of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense to hit the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant in Metsamor, Archbishop Viken Aykazyan said: “They are not aware that we can do much worse things. But we do not want to harm anyone. They never take such a step. The reason for these issues is Aliyev because the President of Azerbaijan is in a very grave situation. Aliyev is not someone who is loved and counted by his own people. Because the situation of the Azerbaijani people is very bad. ”
Archbishop Viken Aykazyan is sure that if Azerbaijan attacks again, its consequences will be very bad for Azerbaijanis. Mr. Aykazyan: “I think they want to host us in Baku. Let’s teach them a good lesson and come back. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in Azerbaijan in the war years, received support from Turkey and Afghanistan. What happened? They fled. “Even the death of an Armenian soldier is a great pain for us, while the loss of hundreds of soldiers is nothing for Azerbaijan.”
