US President Trump has been infected with the coronavirus. Earlier, it became known about the joint statement of the Presidents of the three Minsk Group Co-Chairs – the United States, Russia and France – calling on Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately cease fire and sit down at the negotiating table in partnership with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

There will be no ceasefire until the mercenaries are removed from the region, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a telephone conversation with US President Trump’s National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien. Pashinyan’s statement is about the key circumstance of the terrorist attack on both Artsakh and Armenia and the regional security system.

Turkey does not help Baku solve the Artsakh issue, Turkey solves its Caucasus issue, this is unequivocal. Ankara’s strategy is to turn Azerbaijan into a terrorist coordination point, through which it will try to select targets with “radial” logic on all four sides of the compass, as appropriate.

The French President announced that the three Minsk Group Co-Chairs will soon take a number of initiatives aimed at a ceasefire. The first thing that the three countries can and should do in that direction is the general military-political support to the Armenian armed forces.

The exclusive operation to impose peace is carried out mainly by the Armenian armed forces with a large-scale anti-terrorist operation on the border with Artsakh. On the other hand, given the dangers posed by Turkey’s deep strategic aspirations in terms of international security, the need for mutual support is mutual: the Armenian armed forces are the co-chair countries, the co-chairing countries are the Armenian armed forces. In this sense, the Armenian army is fulfilling its mission.

What mission can international actors take on? It is obvious that the effectiveness of their activities can be in the conditions of that logic. The role of France, which has undertaken the mission of moral and political support to Armenia, is significant here, thus opening a space for practical support for Russia in the real political regime, which for a number of reasons can not stand out with rhetoric adequate to France. We will talk about the reasons for that separately.

France is ready to form a French-Armenian-Russian “tactical alliance”, as evidenced by Macron’s statement that regional security issues cannot be resolved without Russia. Macron, who is at the forefront of the confrontation with Navalny and Belarus over Russia, in fact recognizes Russia’s role in the geopolitical front of the Caucasus. For what? It is a matter of further discussions after breaking Turkey’s strategy.

What is the role of the United States in this process? For the French-Armenian-Russian strategic alliance, the US role is perhaps to provide an environment in a broad, strategic sense. In that sense, it is possible Trump’s coronavirus, the “isolation formula,” was used in the literal sense of the word. Following the joint statement of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Trump “withdraws”, giving Macron and Putin a historic opportunity for Armenia.
