The researches carried out by the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) “State Service for the Protection of Historical Environment” showed that the historical and cultural monuments of Artsakh were brutally destroyed by Azerbaijan. In the statement made on the “Artsakh Monuments” Facebook website, the following statements were made:

“Considering the results of our monitoring and the witnesses, we can say that in the regions occupied by Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis made brutal attacks against the Armenian monuments (cross-stones, statues) dedicated to the Artsakh War of Independence”.

In the statement, which emphasized that barbarian attacks were also made against the graves of Armenian soldiers who fell in the war, it was reported that two tombstones near the statue in Toğ, dedicated to the memory of the Second World War, were broken. Apart from this, the Mets Tağer bay cemetery was also destroyed. Monuments and different cross-stones dedicated to the Artsakh War of Independence in the villages of Talish, Qarin Tak, Mokhrenes, Zardanaşen, Avetaranots were also broken or severely damaged by the Azerbaijanis.

The statement included the words “The enemy continues to fight against our culture now.”
