US Condemns Turkish Party at Armenian Makaravank in Cyprus

US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nicosia Yutit Carper condemned the Turkish-controlled operation in the historic Armenian monastery of Makaravank in Guinea. According to Ermenihaber.am, the ambassador wrote about it on his Twitter page.
“The US Embassy strongly condemns the misuse (misuse) of the Armenian monastery of St. Makar. “Religious freedom is a fundamental value, and we reiterate the call of religious leaders that all places of worship, whether used or not, be protected from abuse, vandalism and profanity,” the ambassador wrote.
It should be noted that last week Turkish youth organized a party in the yard of Makaravank in Cyprus without permission.
