In the construction of the demolished mosque, the stones of the Monastery belonging to Armenians, which was located 18 kilometers away in Taşlıçay district, in the village of Taşteker with its current name and which was destroyed in 1950, were used. The stones that are used in the demolished mosque and have historical value are turned into rubble piles with construction machines and transported by trucks to other places.
AKP’s Mayor Prosecutor Sayan claimed that the mosque will be rebuilt with Ottoman architecture.
