ECONOMY – American energy giant Chevron leaves Azerbaijan

Chevron BTC Pipeline subsidiary of US company Chevron closes offices in Azerbaijan. Russian agency Interfax says Chevron will now not participate in any projects in Azerbaijan.

Chevron had stocks at Azer, Chirag, Gyunishli Caspian Sea mining sites and the American company had been involved in developing the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project.

This departure from the American energy giant could announce the economic decline of the black gold country and dictator Aliev.
