SAINT GRÉGOIRE
He was bishop of Greater Armenia in the 4th century and then left his country because of persecution. He went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem where he fell ill. Recovered he met the Pope in Rome who invited him to visit the bishop of Tours, Saint Martin. On the way back, he stopped in Tallard, which he evangelized before dying there on September 21, 404. Since 1954, the anniversary of his death takes place on the 3rd Sunday of September, to the traditional pilgrimage of the Armenian Church.
