As reports Hayern Aysor, Aztagarabic, citing Palestine News Network, informs that President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas has declared that Christians are the salt of this country and must stay on their land and in their country, and whoever wants them to leave shall leave himself.
This is what the President of Palestine declared during a meeting with the Armenian community on the occasion of Christmas in Bethlehem. “Here we are one nation, one friendship and one fraternity. We believe in God and live in one country that we are protecting. Therefore, when voices were raised about being relieved of the Christians, particularly the Armenians, we tell those people to die with their anger. The Armenians must remain in Jerusalem, Ramallah and Bethlehem,” President Abbas said, adding: “We are suffering from the massacres and killings taking place today. We are against the murder of any person, regardless of sex, race or religion. Our resistance remains peaceful, and we must be patient and stay persistently on our land.”
In his speech, the President stressed that he had sent via the Armenian community a letter to His Excellency, President of Armenia Serj Sarksian to visit Palestine, and “we hope he will accept our invitation.”
On the occasion of Christmas, President Abbas congratulated the Armenian community of Palestine, the people of Armenia and all Armenians around the world, wishing everyone goodness, love and better days than the days that we are experiencing today.
