This book is my answer to all those who limit Armenian history to three thousand years, who try to subject Armenian history to certain standards, which hinder the reality of more than six millennia of Armenian history attested by sources written in Central Asia, especially in Mesopotamia.
I am convinced that in the end the truth will prevail: the Armenian nation will have the Armenian history textbooks and the books it deserves, with which the educated generation will create a STRONG NATIONAL STATE – NEW ARARAT-ARMENIA
SUMMARY. The work presents the history of Armenians (Hay-Armenians), one of the oldest nations of the world, from the times of creation to the end of the 1st millennium BC.
The written sources of the Mesopotamia, in particular the Sumerian mythological epic poetries (“Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta”) indicate that in IV-III millennium BC, a country called ARARAT, the integral part of which was Aratta city (capital, city-state) existed in the Armenian Highlands.
Aratta was the spiritual and cultural center of the Ararat country, which was the residence of a priest king. Aratta was closely associated with the Sumerian city of Uruk through economic, cultural, military and other ties.
According to the Mesopotamian epic poetries, Ararat is the country of creation, which initially was the land of the gods, then was that of the humans.
Generalizing the Sumerian mythological legends and epic poetries, as well as the images on seals and clay tablets, we notice:
– Ararat (Aratta) is the land of gods (“Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta”, “Gilgamesh and the land of immortals”, “History of Babylonia“ of Berossus).
– The people of Ararat (The people of Aratta) are protected by God (“Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta”).
– Ararat (Aratta) is the country of sacred laws and rites (“Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta”, “Lugalbanda and Enmerkar”, “Enmerkar and Ensukushsiranna”).
– The secret of immortality is hidden in the Ararat (Aratta) country (“Gilgamesh and the land of immortals”).
– Ararat is the country of the rebirth of mankind after the Flood (Bible).
According to the written sources, the states called Ararat, Aratta (city-state), Mitani (Huri-Mitani), Armani, Hayasa, Nairi, Arme-Shupria, Ararat-Urartu, Armenia, Armina, Hayk, etc. have been formed in the Armenian Highlands during more than six millenia-long Armenian history.
The work discusses in detail Armenian history and the statehood including the period of IV-I millennia BC.
