Ombudsman: All Azerbaijani people are responsible for the Armenian massacres in Baku in January 1990
14 January 2022 – GENOCIDE:
Larisa Alaverdyan, the first Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia, told Hayeli.am news site that 25-30 thousand Armenians remained in Baku during the Armenian massacres of January 13, 1990, and approximately 250 thousand Armenians left Baku before.
In general, about 300-350 thousand Armenians left Azerbaijan.
The Ombudman said, “What happened to Baku Armenians was inhuman and cruel. People were killed and removed from their homes, robbed, and exiled to the sea. History will still clarify what the Caspian Sea saw in those days. Murders continued in the ports. Armenians were killed in Baku, which was built by Armenians. How many died in the ports, how many were “thrown into the sea?” There is no difference between Turkey and Azerbaijan in a thirst.” she said.
