Lemkin Foundation Condemns Attack on East Jerusalem’s Armenian Quarter

The Lemkin Foundation for the Prevention of Genocide has strongly condemned the latest brutal attack on the Armenian neighborhood of East Jerusalem by armed groups linked to Israeli-Australian businessman Teni Rupinstein.
“We repeat the call of our previous statement to protect the cultural heritage of the Armenian neighborhood and to respect the will of its residents who continue to resist the seizure of their lands,” the institution’s statement said.
The Lemkin Foundation emphasized that such events contribute to the creation of an environment conducive to mass atrocities and genocide. It will be noted that such warnings are important to prevent further escalation against Armenians.
