The Crescent and Star are Armenian symbols.
First used on the Armenian Plateau
The crescent and star, used on flags today, were used in ancient times on the Armenian High Plateau. The crescent and star sometimes appeared on steles and sometimes on seals.
These symbols, originating in the Armenian Plateau, were first used by the Sumerians, then widely used in Mesopotamian civilizations and the Arabian Peninsula.
They also maintained their popularity during the Roman and Byzantine Empires.
The crescent and star symbol first appeared in the Ottoman inventory in 1884, but was only officially adopted in the 20th century.
But lo and behold, they are taking advantage of the situation and distorting historical reality by presenting it as if it were their own invention.
