Let’s donate a house for Anahid on the 30th commemoration of Gyumri Earthquake
Dear fellow Armenians,
The 7th December, 2018 will note the 30th anniversary of the destructive earthquake that happened in Armenia. As you know many cities like Gyumri & Spitak, nearby villages and buildings were destroyed, more than 25 thousand people were killed and 500 thousand people became homeless.
Now, after 30 years, as a result of the destructive earthquake, more hundreds of families are homeless, without a roof on their heads, without water, electricity and lacking the basic means to survive in this life.
Unfortunately, and for different reasons, the newly liberated Armenian nation hasn’t been able support and improve the life of the poor families who were badly affected by the earthquake, (even impoverished because of it).
On the 30th anniversary, the crew of the Radio YAN decided to contribute, take part and organize a fundraising that will aim at donating a comfortable, warm apartment to a family in need. In collaboration with the “Shirak Kendron” of Gyumri, we have identified and chosen the family that we want to help. (See video above)
Wherever we are, whatever we do, at the end we’ll only have what we have donated to others. Therefore, we ask our fellow Armenians and our friends from all over the world, to collaborate with us in this fundraising, donating whatever you are able to. In this way, we will be an example to realize bigger dreams and as Armenians support our newly elected government and our people.
